I have to say, that I hate a lot of things. Some of you may think hate is a strong word and that I’m probably being dramatic. I’m always dramatic but I really do hate this one. I hate China! I don’t hate the Chinese people per say, I don’t know them so I can’t really hate them. What I hate is their country, their government, and it’s policies. There are certain things that stand out more than others, but they have a lot of them. Some of the fucked up shit they eat (ex. Dogs). Some of the archaic and generally medieval beliefs about stupid “home remedies” like endangered tiger penis’ that if snorted in a low light setting while chanting making your man junk stand up straighter.
The idea that it is perfectly acceptable to industrialize 100% of a country and cause species to go extinct at the rate of water dropping over Angel Falls. General lack of a shit to give about any sort of human rights at all if it conflicts with becoming a superpower. I’m no environmental crusader by far, but I do think that all countries should regulate certain things. China’s insistence on being allowed to pollute the earth with lead, mercury, and any other hazardous wastes they see fit at as high a rate as they can manage in the name of money pisses me right the fuck off. I’ve heard the argument that “powers” did so 100 years ago and that’s why they are superpowers. Great, now we know better so go fuck yourselves China.

More than 24 million Chinese men of marrying age could find themselves without spouses in 2020, state media reported. The study, by the government-backed Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, named the gender imbalance among newborns as the most serious demographic problem for the country's population.
"Sex-specific abortions remained extremely commonplace, especially in rural areas," where the cultural preference for boys over girls is strongest, the study said, while noting the reasons for the gender imbalance were "complex."
Researcher Wang Guangzhou said the skewed birth ratio could lead to difficulties for men with lower incomes in finding spouses, as well as a widening age gap between partners. According to Dillinger there really isn’t a problem there either. Allow me to explain. China can take up the wonderful and peaceful religion of Islam. Let me say that for the record. I love rants about China. Especially when they're intelligent. Unfortunately, yours isn't.
You do realise that Buddhism is one of the most peaceful religions in the world, if slightly violent and disgusting past (as with all religions). Taking up Islam? Err... the amount of work Islam would need to convert a country that's steeped in Buddhism (beliefs directly contradicting Islam) for the past two millenia or so.
Oh and be honest with yourself. You're obviously racist. Don't use disclaimers like "I don't hate Chinese people." and then write a whole article about "stupid Chinese culture".

umm i have no religion but id like to ask where in the quran did you read that raping women mercilessly and having sex with 9 year olds was approved... i dont know if your aware but the islamic teachings and the christian teachings have alot of similarities ur view on the islamic people is ignorant and racist probably stemmed from your views on the iraq war
@ cboykin, If you've read the various teachings of Islam and you don't know where it says that women are possessions to be used then you aren't even smart enough to debate with. I suspect you haven't read them and take the word of Muslims who also don't know their religion really or who are lying to you. As for 9 year olds simply look to modern Islamic countries but again, the 9 year old reference specifically was a reference to one of Muhammad's wives with whom he consecrated the marriage at age 9. This is still done. My view on Islam is accurate and very real, Islam is not a race, it is a religion, and I suspect that you have difficulty ensuring you don't drool on yourself on a regular basis. As for my views of the Iraq war, that really has little to do with this actual topic. Learn something before you attempt to spar with me.

Might want to adjust your numbers. Nature naturally produces 6% more male births than female. China, with a population of over a billion would have 60 million more males just from natural birth patterns (for simplicity rounding off population to a billion. Aggregate population numbers will include women in older age groups and since women live longer than men won't account for availability of women in the young reproductive category. Unless young men are interested in marrying grandma those "extra" older women won't have a significant impact on young mens marriage prospects.
Those "surplus" males are concentrated in the young reproductive age category, when males sex drive is at it's highest and male testesterone is at it's peak. What are the social consequences?
Now let's nudge the numbers a little, if gender selection pushes male births up to 10% more than female then you could potentially have a 100 million extra males in the population pool. What if gender selection pushes it even higher than that? Does anybody really know the true figures? Also consider that India (the other most populous nation) is also practicing gender selection and may even be worse than China, we can also plan on having at least another 100 million single young males from the subcontinent. Other countries such as Vietnam, Korea and Phillippines also have male preferences and are becoming permeated with gender selection technicques also. What does that portend? I think my numbers are pretty conservative, just how many potential extra males could this world fill up with in the future? How many of these males will immigrate to the West (particularly US) to find wives? Should we let them?
Every time I see an article on this issue I see this 24 million (r so) extra Chinese men estimate, just for once I'd like to see someone sit down and give a more accurate story. I'm not a human population expert or mathematician but even basic math and understanding of birth patterns shows the 24 million figure to be a ridiculous underestimate. perhaps rerun this article with more realistic numbers?
BTW The 6% extra males is an average worldwide, even here in the US we have millions of extra single males in the young reproductive age category. Our (relatively) long lived population ends up with more aggregate women but like I said before, 20 something year old men aren't looking to hook up with old ladies in walkers. So much for the male shortage myth that the ladies (even young ones) seem to believe exists here.
