Banning Assault Rifles For Mexico's Sake? Here We Go Again

After fierce resistance from the gun lobby and its allies in Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder has dialed back talk about reimposing a federal assault weapons ban to help curb the spiraling violence in Mexico.

As much as 90 percent of the assault weapons and other guns used by Mexican drug cartels are coming from the United States, fueling drug-related violence that is believed to have killed more than 7,000 people since January 2008, according to estimates by Mexican and U.S. law enforcement officials.

This shouldn't even be part of the question. Cutting off Americans from buying assault rifles is not going to fix Mexico's problems. I don't see any problem with preventing shady people from buying crates full of AK-47s but individuals buying one or two at a time? These purchases of single weapons by individuals are not ending up in Mexico unless they're stolen.

I have a much better idea for fixing Mexico's problems. How about Mexico's corrupt government get their heads out of their asses and police themselves? They're turning into one big fucking liability. Step the fuck up like a big country and address your own issues rather than expecting us to fix it for you. What is getting into your country because of your own lack of responsibility isn't our problem. If you want us to impose laws on our citizens to keep shit you don't want in your country out and keep your citizens safe, how about you do the same. We've got hundreds of thousands of your most useless citizens in our country draining our economy and contributing to our crime rates and you take no responsibility so fuck the fuck off Mexico!

More accurately... BANNING FIREARMS FOR ANY POSSIBLE REASON. We have to continue to make others aware of these moves.
